Web offset press specifications are also constantly optimized and expanded. At present, the maximum printing speed of the medium-sized sheet-fed offset press has reached 20,000 sheets/hour, and the maximum printing speed of the domestic sheet-fed offset printing press has also reached 18,000 sheets/hour. The maximum printing speed of the web offset press has reached 18 meters per second, and the highest printing speed of the domestic web offset press has also reached 11 meters per second.
The increase in the printing speed means that the accuracy and configuration requirements of the printing press are increased, and the production cost of the printing press, that is, the sales price, will also increase. Therefore, how to achieve a balance between efficiency and cost has become a concern of people.
The printing efficiency is not only related to the highest printing speed of the offset press, but also limited by the printing consumables such as paper and ink, the workshop environment, the technical level of the operator, and the printing quantity. Now that the number of prints per batch of printed matter is decreasing, it is even more important to increase the stability and reliability of offset presses and to reduce the number of change-assisted hours. If an offset printing press with a printing speed of 18,000 sheets/hour and 15,000 sheets/hour is used, the printing of 2000 sheets of sheets will take only 1.3 minutes. If the stability and reliability of the offset press is improved, the failure is reduced, or the replacement activation time is reduced and the operator skill level is improved, it should be relatively easy to save 1.3 minutes.
